My son was diagnosed with AML Leukemia in 2012, and had two bone marrow transplants in 2012 and 2013. My daughter was also diagnosed with AML Leukemia in 2020. This time, she can’t find a matching bone marrow donor because the chance of finding a matching donor is only 40% for Asian Americans, compared to 77% for White Americans. My wife and I started to launch donor drives. Due to COVID-19, on-site donor drives have been greatly affected.
